Hooker Headers Mufflers, Sidetube Slip-In, 2.5" Inlet/Outlet, 4" Diameter, Steel, Black Aluminized. These Hooker mufflers have been developed for vehicles with 4" sidepipes, such as those equipped with Hooker Super Roadster and side mount headers. The mufflers are easily removed for racing purposes and are available in a performance-style glasspack or in a quieter, all-metal, reverse flow-style. They produce an average of 23% more power than open headers and feature a high-flow, perforated core that operates at 99 percent efficiency. High-temperature packing material absorbs noise while producing a powerful, mellow sound. The outer case is constructed of durable 16-gauge aluminized steel and protected by electrostatically applied high-temperature black paint. The inlet and outlet are 2.5" perforated cores in a 4" casing.
